The University of Florida College of Medicine is currently recruiting a full-time Clinical OB/GYN Hospitalist-Laborist to join the faculty in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
The department has experienced outstanding growth across an expanding geographic area and is seeking a qualified physician in General OB/GYN who is highly motivated, forward thinking, and passionate about women’s health and delivery.
The College of Medicine plays an integral role in the education of medical students, resident physicians, and fellows through its collaboration with the UF Health Physicians practices, UF Health Shands Hospital – our Baby-Friendly designated hospital, and the Malcolm Randall Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
As a faculty member in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our educational mission by teaching junior medical students, serving on hospital, medical and department committees, and participating in other department activities, including rounds, special lectures, and postgraduate courses. The position offers an opportunity to join a growing obstetrics-focused hospitalist program with a faculty appointment within our fully accredited OB/GYN residency program.
In addition, faculty members are expected to participate in scholarly activities, including research and quality initiatives as appropriate for experience and interests, such as UF’s groundbreaking Artificial Intelligence Initiative.

Professional Qualifications:
- MD or DO, or equivalent degree is required. Applicants with additional educational degrees such as an MBA or MPH are encouraged to apply.
- Board eligible / certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and eligible for a Florida Medical License.
