Chief, Interventional Radiology Opportunity (Full-Time; On-Site)
Practice as Chief of Interventional Radiology in this Major Northeastern Metro City!
Currently recruiting an ambitious Chief of Interventional Radiology (IR) physician for our flagship hospital and one of the largest academic radiology departments in the U.S. This is an exciting opportunity to help build and develop our new IR Institute, for those who are ready to take the next step forward in their professional career. Must possess MD or equivalent, be BC or BE in Radiology and Interventional Radiology fellowship trained. H1B visa sponsorship available.
The growing division consists of a diverse mix of clinical, teaching, academic, and on-call IR responsibilities. There is tremendous support administratively for the Interventional Radiology division.
Clinical assignments are distributed between the core academic hospitals (including two Level 1 trauma centers) based on clinical need.
For the Interventionalist who enjoys practicing a specialized variety in their case mix, this is the perfect environment for that. Focusing on student interaction and teaching is a high priority as there are established residency (IR/DR dual certification) and fellowship programs in radiology.
As a highly clinical practice, research is encouraged.

In addition to the endless opportunities offered here, the successful Chief of IR must possess the following:
- MD/DO degree required.
- Applicants must be ABMS board-certified in Interventional Radiology and eligible for state license.
- 5+ years’ experience with evidence of progressive management responsibilities and leadership in an academic department is required.
- Demonstrable record of collaboration, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enthusiasm for medical education and mentoring faculty, and ability to engage a broad base of potential stakeholders to work towards a shared vision.
- Interventional radiology fellowship training and eligibility for CAQ in VIR (desired).
