Job Title: Chief Financial Officer
Location: Grand Prairie, TX

The Chief Financial officer will oversee the financial and accounting operations related to real estate and construction projects. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of development and construction projects, financing, deal structures, and financial reporting within the real estate and/or construction industry. This role will provide critical support to the executive team while ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities Include:

FINANCIANL REPORTING

• Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely project-level financial statements.
• Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures aligned with real estate development & construction best practices.

TAX COMPLIANCE

• Coordinate with outside tax advisors to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.

PAYROLL MANAGEMENT

• Supervise payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulations.

RECONCILIATIONS

• Lead the monthly close process, including the review and reconciliation of accounts.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

• Manage, mentor, and develop finance staff.

Experience & Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.
• CPA or other relevant professional certification is preferred
• Minimum of 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 3-years in the real estate or construction industry
• An understanding of accounting and tax principles relevant to real estate development and commercial construction.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
