A small, high-growth medical device startup is adding a strategic product marketing role to their team. They pioneered and are the market leaders in a differentiated minimally invasive surgery for a chronic medical condition that affects 400k+ people a year in the US alone. They just closed a successful funding round and are growing and are expanding their marketing team, including adding a newly created strategic marketing role.

In this role you’ll interact with leadership daily and work broadly, no two days will be the same. You’ll report into the Sr. Director of Marketing, an experienced developer of people who has successfully launched multiple med device products. The Opportunity:
In this newly created Sr. Product Manager role, you will develop strategic marketing with a full upstream and downstream marketing focus. You’ll own strategic planning, including roadmapping, positioning, forecasting and GTM strategies. You’ll lead product launches, gather competitive intelligence and plan the overall portfolio strategy. The team is small and there’s much to define. If you enjoy building strategy from the ground up with a broad influence, this role might be a good fit for you.

You will routinely interact with the highest levels of leadership as you make recommendations. You and your team will partner closely with leadership as you consider how to best support the rapidly growing commercial footprint. You’ll work in cross-functional teams with marketing, sales, medical affairs, regulatory and other departments. Travel is estimated at 30%.

Qualifications:
• 5+ years of marketing experience in the med device industry
• Experience working with physician surgeon customers
• Upstream and downstream marketing experience
• Strong leadership skills and the desire to work in a small, fast-paced environment
• A bachelor’s degree or better in a scientific discipline

This position will be based in the Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN, area. There is relocation assistance available.
